A motorcyclist competing in the iconic Baja 500 off-road race died Saturday afternoon, June 6, following a serious accident in the Ensenada municipality. Preliminary reports indicate that the competitor succumbed to injuries sustained after a violent fall from his vehicle.
The fatal incident occurred near Race Mile 324. Medical personnel responded quickly and provided on-site assistance, but the rider was confirmed deceased.
In a statement released shortly after the incident, SCORE International expressed its condolences and addressed the matter with limited details:
“Out of respect for the competitor, his family, and his team members, no further details will be released at this time. SCORE International extends its sincerest condolences to the competitor’s family, friends, fellow racers, and support crew.”
