Rosarito Boosts Security by Prioritizing Institutional Coordination

Authorities held the Peacebuilding Roundtable in Playas de Rosarito, led by Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz, with the goal of following up on crime prevention, surveillance, and law enforcement efforts.

During the session, the mayor reaffirmed the importance of coordination among the three levels of government to strengthen security strategies, prevent crime, and address the needs of citizens. This collaborative approach helps create safer environments for the families of Rosarito.

Authorities presented a report on recent incidents. The State Attorney General’s Office detailed arrests made in coordination with other security agencies, while the State Investigation Agency reported the execution of an arrest warrant and the capture of five individuals caught in flagrante for various offenses.

The C5 command center, for its part, reported a decrease in incidents during the reporting period. Authorities also responded to reports of non-violent home burglaries and non-violent vehicle thefts. In addition, seven vehicles reported stolen in the municipality were recovered.

The Secretariat of Citizen Security reported that 21 individuals were handed over to the State Attorney General’s Office on charges including business robbery, home invasion, driving a stolen vehicle, domestic violence, and violence against women. Authorities also seized six vehicles linked to criminal activity.

On the prevention front, the agency carried out more than 5,000 preventive patrols across the municipality, in addition to coordinated actions with the State Search Commission for Missing Persons.

Authorities also conducted 771 preventive patrols and 155 school crossing operations at various educational institutions to enhance safety and crime prevention in school environments. Furthermore, 27 preventive patrols were carried out along the municipal boundary with Tijuana on Boulevard 2000.

Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz reiterated her administration’s commitment to continuing coordinated efforts with security and justice institutions to preserve peace, order, and tranquility for the community.
