Specialized Care for Rescued Animals

Montaño explained that every animal brought to the Directorate of Animal Rights and Welfare receives individualized attention, as many arrive with histories of abandonment, mistreatment, or urgent veterinary needs.

She underscored the essential role of the veterinary medical team, which conducts ongoing health assessments, administers timely treatments, and monitors both the physical recovery and behavioral adjustment of animals in protective custody to ensure comprehensive care and suitable living conditions.

The official also recognized the invaluable contributions of civil associations, independent rescuers, and dedicated citizens, whose collaborative efforts have significantly enhanced animal protection, care, and rehabilitation across various parts of the city.
