Speaking with company executives, the mayor of Tijuana reaffirmed that facilitating regulatory adherence is a top priority for his administration.

This is achieved through dedicated support mechanisms designed to strengthen trust between authorities and industry, ultimately contributing to a more competitive landscape for investment and job creation.
The mayor mentioned that they are working to ensure Tijuana offers the conditions businesses need to keep growing, investing, and hiring.

Pedro Montejo Peterson, Tijuana’s Secretary of Economic Development, explained that the ACORDE distinction is awarded to companies that fully comply with municipal regulations.
Through coordinated interagency support from City Hall, the government aims to reinforce a favorable climate for sustained economic growth.
During the visit, officials observed ODU México Manufacturing’s operations firsthand.
This German-based company, which specializes in high-precision connection solutions for advanced engineering applications, currently employs 248 people. It has announced plans to expand its Tijuana facilities, which is expected to generate more than 600 additional jobs.
The Tijuana City Hall reiterated its commitment to boosting competitiveness, attracting investment, and maintaining an ongoing partnership with the business community to create greater opportunities and improve quality of life for residents across the city.
