U.S. Ambassador to Mexico Ronald Johnson has issued a stark warning to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), asserting that its members and affiliates will face justice for their crimes. The statement came in the wake of the arrest of 47 individuals in the Czech Republic for their alleged involvement in a synthetic drug trafficking network.
In a message shared on social media, Johnson addressed the recent extradition of two suspects to the United States.
“CJNG’s international reach is also its vulnerability. These charges send a clear message to CJNG and other narco-terrorist organizations: wherever you operate, we will pursue you,” he said.
Johnson also highlighted the importance of binational and multinational cooperation with Mexican authorities and allied nations to dismantle criminal networks.
“Together with our partners in Mexico and our network of allies around the world, we will find you and hold you accountable. You have nowhere to hide. Justice will be served.”
