According to a social media post by CBP’s San Diego office, marine interdiction agents aboard a patrol vessel stopped the boat just off the San Diego coastline.
All eight individuals aboard were Mexican citizens attempting to illegally enter the United States. Both the migrants and the vessel were transported to Ballast Point Naval Base for further processing, officials said.
