Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz of Playas de Rosarito has invited residents to participate in the National Tequios for Peace and Against Addictions, which will be held in Rosarito this Wednesday, May 14, starting at 9:00 a.m. at Conchita Cantú Park.
“We are joining this nationwide initiative led by the Mexican government under President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, with the firm goal of transforming our country through a comprehensive strategy that promotes peace and the fight against addiction,” Mayor Adame Muñoz of Rosarito emphasized.
The mayor added that the campaign primarily aims to encourage active youth participation in activities that strengthen the social fabric while preventing violence and addiction in the community.

Ilse Yanett Rodríguez Ramos, Secretary of Social Well-Being, stated that the event will provide valuable information and tools to help young people adopt healthy habits, stay away from drugs, and foster community unity.
She noted that all 32 Mexican states are participating simultaneously in this campaign, which seeks to promote peace and addiction prevention through citizen engagement in community activities.
The official stated that some of the campaign activities include public space clean-up efforts, art workshops and educational talks on addiction risks and prevention, and recreational and sports activities for all ages.
She also urged Rosarito residents to join this important initiative for peace and community well-being.
