Hats, boots, and plenty of action are headed back to Poway this September. The Poway Rodeo will mark its 54th edition with two days of competition and family-friendly activities, set for Friday, September 25, and Saturday, September 26, 2026.

This year’s theme, “The Legacy Continues,” honors the generations who have kept the tradition alive for more than five decades. The event will also recognize the volunteers, competitors, and community members who make it possible year after year.

Two Days of Rodeo Tradition

The program opens Friday night with “Honoring the Legends,” continues Saturday afternoon with “The Future of Rodeo,” and closes that evening with “Today’s Trailblazers.” Each day pairs rodeo competition with the event’s signature western vibes.

The Poway Rodeo has become a Southern California staple, drawing both lifelong fans and first-time attendees. For anyone planning to join, it may be time to dust off those cowboy boots as the countdown to rodeo season has already begun.
