The Centro Cultural Tijuana (CECUT) is bringing back its beloved “Rosca de Reyes Monumental” celebration, set to take place this Saturday, January 11, at 1 PM around the IMAX Dome. Visitors can enjoy a free slice of a 280-meter-long Rosca de Reyes bread while enjoying a vibrant artistic program.
This cherished tradition highlights one of Mexico’s oldest customs, promoting family togetherness and cultural appreciation. Guests will also have the chance to snap photos with the Three Wise Men—Melchior, Caspar, and Balthazar.
Monumental Rosca de Reyes: A Tijuana Tradition Since 1987
Since 1987, CECUT has hosted this unforgettable event that delights both kids and adults alike. Every year, families come together to enjoy a slice of delicious rosca paired with a warm beverage, a festive atmosphere, and even the chance to win prizes.
This year, the giant rosca—one of the largest in Tijuana—will be crafted for the second consecutive year by Gastronomy students from Universidad Vizcaya de las Américas.
In 2024, Universidad Vizcaya also partnered with CECUT during the Day of the Dead Festival, earning a Guinness World Record for the largest bread mosaic. This incredible creation measured 433.18 square meters and consisted of 42,000 pieces of pan de muerto that were shared with attendees.
