The Tijuana Opera Foundation has announced the 22nd edition of its traditional Festival Ópera en la Calle (Opera in the Street Festival), which will take place on Saturday, July 12 at 3:00 p.m. at the iconic intersection of 11th Street and Avenida Revolución in Downtown Tijuana.
This year, the event holds special significance as it coincides with Tijuana’s 137th anniversary celebrations and marks the 25th anniversary of the Tijuana Opera Foundation, making it one of the region’s most important cultural celebrations.
The choice of 11th Street and Revolución Avenue as the venue has proven successful due to its accessibility and vibrant urban atmosphere, attracting around 12,000 attendees in 2024. This year, organizers aim to surpass that number with an artistic program featuring 300 performers, supported by 50 volunteers and staff, along with contributions from 50 vendors.
The festivities will run until 11:00 p.m., offering a day filled with music, local and international talent, and a family-friendly atmosphere that brings free, open-air opera to the public.

This festival not only celebrates opera but also the soul of a city that thrives on art and culture. Opera in the Street is a reminder that music can transform spaces, unite hearts, and bring beauty to every corner of Tijuana.
