Tijuanenses have joined the campaigns to support those affected by the recent Mexicos earthquakes and have gathered 40 tons of food in donations.

Several collection centers have been installed in the city: inside the City Hall, in the different delegaciones (districts/Neigborhoods), and in the facilities of DIF Tijuana. The opening hours have been extended from Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm, and on weekends from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the City Hall. Everything gathered will be delivered to the Navy Ministry on October 9 to be moved to the sites in need.

"For the first shipment we will give priority to all first aid items such as sterile gauze, masking tape, bandages, antiseptic wipes, soap, antibiotic cream, and non-perishable food," said Juan Manuel Gastélum, Mayor of Tijuana.
