They will vote once again for equal marriage in Baja California

If the commissions approve it, it will go to the State Congress plenary once again

At the end of July, the Congress of Baja California refused to legalize equal marriage in this state for the second time, dissatisfied members of the LGBT community continued the battle.

Recently, videos of some celebrities from this entity have circulated, which show their support for this community and demand the corresponding authorities to approve this initiative.

Thus, next Friday, October 16, at 12:00 noon through the YouTube channel of the Baja California Congress, it is expected that the Committee on Governance, Legislation and Constitutional Points will vote again on Resolution 51, which corresponds to equalitarian marriage.

It proposes a constitutional modification that contemplates articles 7, 143, 145, 161, 169, 170, 174, 176, 177, 179, 181, 182, 184, 186, 205,208, 213, 214, 215, 216, 217, 218, 220, 224, 291 as well as the repeal of article 144 of the Civil Code for the state of Baja California, as reported.

The seven members of these commissions who will cast their votes are: Julia Gonzalez, Eva Rodriguez, Julio Vazquez, Juan Molina, Rosina del Villar, Gerardo Lopez and Victor Navarro.

If approved, the report will go to the plenary session of the Baja California Congress to be voted on by the 25 representatives that comprise it.
