During the daily update of coronavirus cases in Baja California, the State Secretary of Health, Alonso Pérez Rico, informed that there is a vaccination goal for the State, a goal that he expects to reach 1 million 300 thousand Johnson & Johnson vaccines applied by this Wednesday, June 23.

With this amount of vaccines applied, the goal is to reach herd immunity, an essential condition for the border to reopen, "if we do not reach the herd immunity we require, they will not open the border," said Pérez Rico.

The vaccine was sent for us to vaccinate 1.3 million people in the next 10 days and we have until June 23rd, otherwise the vaccine will be withdrawn from the state of Baja California and will go to another state, therefore, it is very important to get vaccinated.

It is important to emphasize that if there are leftovers of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine by June 23rd, destined to expedite the border reopening between Mexico and the United States, they will be withdrawn from Baja California to go to another state that requires it, so it will be essential that you go before June 23rd to get vaccinated.
