TIJUANA.- The Tijuana Technological Institute (ITT) announced that one of its students was convened by the National Council of Education Sports (CONDDE) to represent Mexico at the 2017 World Univerisity Competition being held in Taipei, Taiwan .

From August 19 to 30, Jorge Luna Estés, who is in the 5th semester of the Civil Engineering career, will be in Taipei, as he has recently shared through his social media a video of his penultimate training of the year at the Taoyuan City Stadium in Taiwan.

At a competition in Monterrey, he imposed a new national record in high jump with 5.21 meters, which helped him pass to the international competition.

On the other hand, the Institution assures that this is a historical fact for the university since it is the first time one of the Galgos (greyhounds, school's mascot) will be representing ITT and the country at the same time.
