This Monday, August 10, Baja California starts the week under a red light, despite the fact that the federal government put the state in orange, said Head of the Department of Health Alonso Perez Rico.

This is due to the fact that "the pandemic is not over yet," Perez Rico said, because although a downward trend is seen, the state still remains at number 12 nationally with the most positive cases accumulated, and number 4 with most deaths from this virus:

1. Mexico City: 9 thousand 407
2. State of Mexico: 6 thousand 928
3. Veracruz: 3 thousand 021
4. Baja California: 2 thousand 809
5. Puebla: 2 thousand 806

Meanwhile, the number of people who have tested positive in the region now totals 14 thousand 536, distributed as follows in the state.

The Health Secretary also reported that there are still 412 active cases in Baja California, which is why it is important not to let our guard down, because although some activities that belong to the orange status are being reopened, Perez Rico emphasized that they are not all or in all the corresponding capacity, in order to avoid outbreaks and to be able to analyze them.
