Sanitary Alert in Playas de Tijuana due to a sewage spill in the sea

The next few days there will be no access for any activity.

The City of Tijuana informs the public about the closure of the beaches during the whole week. This is due to a sewage spill that fell into the sea.

They report that there was an electrical failure in the pumping system of the Mexico Park of Playas de Tijuana which has caused a considerable spill.

In the next few days there will be no access to the population for any activity, until the State Commission for Protection against Sanitary Risks (COEPRIS) carries out the corresponding sampling and it can be demonstrated that there are optimum levels of sanitation in the water.

It is estimated that the spill will last between 4 to 6 hours and it is recommended to keep your distance from the beach.
