The government of Ensenada called on the population and visitors to comply with hygiene and prevention protocols in the face of the current COVID-19 pandemic, especially on its beaches.

As you may remember, this activity recently reopened with the change of color to orange in the state, with a controlled schedule and the following measures to be followed for their entry: use face masks, antibacterial gel, avoid attending in case of symptoms of respiratory disease, maintain a distance of four meters between corridors and groups of people.

However, after observing an increase in cases of coronavirus in this municipality, the authorities stressed that this call is made to avoid the closure of the beaches again.

"Despite the insistence on the recommendations, we have detected that there are those who are in contempt by not observing preventive measures, by being part of crowds and contaminating the beaches by leaving their garbage," said the mayor of this municipality in a statement.

In the update made this morning by the Secretary of Health, Alonso Perez Rico, Ensenada recorded 30 new cases until the cut-off date of October 23, adding 2 thousand 850 confirmed cases, in addition to 410 deaths.

These figures have placed it in the third most affected municipality by COVID-19 at the state level, after Mexicali and Tijuana. Given this context, authorities are asking the population to help the authorities and comply with health recommendations to prevent outbreaks.
