First we must clarify something important: the " fatality " does not mean that Baja California is the state that counts more deaths (that statistic is taken by Mexico City), but that for every 100 patients of coronavirus that our state has, approximately 18 die, while the average in other places of the country is 10 deaths for every 100.

The former Information is according to the data provided by the Ministry of Public Health in its daily updates, through which they report the number of cases, deaths and suspected cases of COVID-19 in Mexico.

These numbers place Baja California, along with Morelos, as one of the states with the highest coronavirus mortality rate. On the other hand, Baja California is not among the first places of active or total cases, however, in the last state updates there has been talk of a resurgence.

Due to the above, the possibility of returning to the red light is being considered, and adapting again to the strict sanitary measures that were installed in the month of March. Nevertheless, this danger seems to be indifferent to part of the population.

This is in reference to the fact that on Halloween night, hundreds of people gathered on the busiest avenue in the city of Tijuana to celebrate, many of them without taking the recommended sanitary precautions.

So far, Baja California has 3 thousand 816 deaths, placing the municipality of Mexicali as one of the 5 with the most deaths in all of Mexico only below Puebla (Puebla), Iztapalapa (Mexico City), Gustavo A. Madero (Mexico City) and Ecatepec (State of Mexico).
