Users of the pedestrian gate to San Ysidro complain about lack of social distance

They report that in addition to the lack of distance, there are users who do not wear their masks properly.

Tijuana is a border city and as such, despite the restrictions between Mexico and the United States, there are still thousands of people who cross the border for various activities, whether for work or recreation. However, the crosswalk has become an ordeal for some people.

For weeks it has been reported that people have been waiting for hours to cross the border during work hours, but in addition to having to wait a few hours to cross, they also have to endure the lack of sanitary measures of some of the people in line.

Andrea D. shared for San Diego Red that she crosses at least three times a week at San Ysidro by pedestrian way and shares that sometimes it takes three hours, she accepts that at times and certain hours it is faster.

However, what has been bothering her is the evident softening of sanitary measures: "sometimes I want to leave, because it is very tiring to be in line without space, but the worst thing is the people who do not use masks or use them incorrectly, I would like to get out of line, but I have to work".

Baja California will start this week under the yellow traffic light, which implies a relaxation of the allowed capacity, which makes the population fear because this color will be in force during the arrival of Spring Break and it is feared that the number of cases, which continues to decrease, will increase.
