Subway is a fast-food franchise where clients decide what ingredients they want on their sandwiches. The selection process includes the type of bread, cheese, protein, vegetables, dressings, and even ingredients such as guacamole or adding a pinch of salt and pepper at the end. This same company innovates on their dishes, offering new concepts and ingredients and, on this occasion, a Baja Californian city is the main protagonist.

“The Mexicali” is the new sandwich that can be appreciated on Subway restaurant screens all across the US and, according to these screens, it is a new choice for clients who want to try something new.

This dish has roasted chicken, Pepper Jack Cheese, avocado, lettuce, tomato, onion, Baja Chipotle, and, for that special touch, toasted bread. According to the menu, the sandwich is 6 feet long and costs $7.29 dollars, the “footlong” has a price of $11.49 dollars, and the “footlong pro” costs $14.49 dollars.

The Mexicali is only one of the new sandwiches that Subway is offering, since they have new varieties when it comes to chicken, Italian, cheesesteak, and club categories. Both Subway in the US and Mexico have not revealed whether this sandwich will be available on Mexican shops, so for now it can only be enjoyed in the US.
