Twenty-two Million People Visited Baja California This Year

Tourism has grown significantly

Recent data on tourism in Baja California revealed that more than 22 million visited the State this year. This was announced by the Minister of Tourism, Óscar Escobedo.

"We have not seen this number in 20 years," said Carignan, detailing that of the 22 million people, 17 include people crossing the border from the United States and five others coming from the interior of the Republic.

According to the analysis, the Tijuana and Mexicali Airport presented an increase of 38%. While the Guadalupe Valley is the favorite destination for visitors from other states of Mexico.

The Minister added that the next US government could affect the numbers by the end of year, due to the possibility of tightening measures in the border crossing.
