During President Andrés Manuel López Obrador's morning conference, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE), commented that by mid-December the Pfizer vaccine could arrive in Mexico.

As reported on this website, this pharmaceutical company requested last November 20 the emergency use authorization or also known as USA, to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) , this after having a 95% effectiveness.

It is expected that by December 10 of this year, the FDA will make a decision regarding the emergency use authorizations, this after meeting with its Advisory Committee on Vaccines and Related Biological Products, which according to CNN is scheduled for December 8, 9 and 10.

"In summary, it is imminent that, if it goes as we have said and the regulatory authority says it can be approved, Mexico will be starting its process in December", the Secretary said.

Ebrard added that in a period of five working days this vaccine could reach Mexico, since it will have to go through customs and be distributed to the vaccination centers.
