Tijuana rises to 213 active cases of coronavirus this Friday

The border city was also the municipality that registered most new cases: 75, of the 171 reported in Baja California

The Secretary of Health of Baja California, Alonso Perez Rico informed during the COVID-19 cases update that the state increased its active cases adding up to 545 this Friday, September 4, of which Tijuana is the municipality where most of them are located: 213.

In turn, the region reported 171 new cases confirmed with coronavirus up to September 3, and in the same way the border city is positioned as the place with more of these cases, by acumulating 75 of them, making a total of 5 thousand 388 positive cases out of the 17 thousand 321 at the state level.

In the case of deaths, unfortunately Baja California has 3 thousand 195 so far, of which one thousand 293 were Tijuana residents, where 9 new deaths were reported due to this virus.

Among the 9 thousand 928 patients who have recovered from COVID-19 in the region, 2 thousand 309 are residents of Tijuana, but the majority of the them are from Mexicali (5 thousand 448), according to the Secretary of Health.
