Mayor Karla Ruiz promotes job opportunities for Tijuana residents in the U.S.

The mayor visited Los Angeles, California to reinforce strategies with the Mexican consulate in the region

The Mayor of Tijuana, Karla Ruiz Macfarland, maintains excellent relations with the leaders of the State of Baja California as well as with those of California, so we are not surprised to hear that the City Council has begun to promote job offers in Los Angeles.

According to a press release from the Tijuana City Hall, it is very important for the Mayor to attract U.S. investment to Tijuana, which is the main reason why Mexican representatives abroad and the Tijuana government are in constant communication.

To consolidate these relationships, Ruiz Macfarland visited Los Angeles, California, along with Tijuana's Secretary of Economic Development, Gabriel Camarena Salinas, to reinforce strategies with the Mexican Consulate in the region, headed by Marcela Celorio Mancera.

These strategies will be mainly focused on "strengthening the promotional link with companies or potential clients that will allow the attraction of new companies" according to the Tijuana City Hall, who added the importance of these companies to expand their productive capacity.

The mayor's main goal is to strengthen commercial relations, which will result in providing job opportunities for the region's citizens: the more openness there is between the binational region, the more commercial opportunities will exist, which is why Ruiz Macfarland emphasized:
"Los Angeles stands out for its production strength and the different companies established in the region...that is why this meeting with the Chancellor is so important, so that through the Consulate the labor supply of our city can be promoted."
