La Casa de la Langosta is featured on the cover of The Event Planner’s Magazine

Visiting Baja means visiting its restaurants whose menu is made from the region’s products

The Event Planner’s Magazine, which specializes on being an essential guide that offers information about MICE (Meeting, Incentives, Conferencing & Exhibitions) destinations in Mexico and the world, featured on its December cover one of Baja California’s most characteristic restaurants: La Casa de la Langosta.

Visiting Baja means visiting its restaurants whose menu is made from the region’s products. La Casa de la Langosta is one of those customary restaurants that every person who wishes to have a high-quality gastronomic experience must consider.

That is why, The Event Planner’s Magazine (MDC) highlights the flavors and experiences that Baja California has to offer. Their tour begins by telling us a little bit about the history of the Puerto Nuevo style lobster.

Under the management of the Plascencia family, La Casa de la Langosta has provided people with high-quality gastronomic services for over half a century. The Events Planner’s Magazine spoke about the beginnings of this restaurant: it all began when a group of North American tourists, after spending the day fishing, were welcomed by the Plascencia family. That day, these tourists were able to try one of the characteristic Baja flavors: lobster served with beans and recently made flour tortillas.

That is how this dish became so successful that it made way for the creation of the restaurant "Puerto Nuevo" and subsequently "La Casa de la Langosta" where their traditional recipes continue to stimulate its visitors’ palates, all under the management of the future generations of the Plascencia matrimony.

An example of their huge achievements is that "La Casa de la Langosta" has won several awards; the most recent one was the “Los 100 Imperdibles" Award, as well as others given by CANIRAC. In addition, in 2016 it was named The Best of Baja due to their incredible flavors.

The Plascencia last name has significant value in Baja California, as it has provided a great variety of high-quality gastronomic products for decades. With a mostly Mediterranean touch, their hallmark has become one of the country’s best gastronomic spots.
