Weather forecast in Tijuana: extreme cold and chances of rain for the weekend

There is also a 20% chance of rain for the region

Low temperatures in Tijuana will continue this weekend, which will join with the Santa Ana weather condition all the way until Saturday, February 18. In addition, starting in the evening of Sunday, February 19 there will be chances of rain, which is why the Civil Protection Agency is asking people to be careful.

Weather forecasts have revealed that low temperatures and possible frost will hit the valleys in the mornings of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, while maximum temperatures will increase gradually during the weekend.

Regarding the Santa Ana weather condition, it is estimated that there will be moderate winds until Friday afternoon and light to moderate winds from 9 AM to 5 PM on Saturday.

According to The Weather Channel, maximum temperatures during the weekend will range between 18°C and 19°C; while minimum temperatures will drop all the way to 7°C. On Sunday evening, rain chances will increase to 20%.

A low-pressure system will bring light and isolated rain in the evening of Sunday, February 19 all the way until Monday. Subsequently, another low-pressure system will increase the chances of more rain for the middle of next week.

As such, the Municipal Civil Protection Agency urged Tijuana natives to avoid using faulty equipment to heat up their homes such as portable stoves, grills, and kerosene or petroleum-based heaters, as well as to verify that their gas or electric-powered heaters are working correctly.

People should also stay away from cables, billboards, and giant objects that could fall due to winds, cover themselves with thick clothing especially in the mornings and evenings, and keep an eye for the recommendations issued by Civil Protection, the Fire Department, and Health authorities.
