Germany brutalized and debased host nation Brazil, in a one-sided World Cup semifinal match, where Luiz Felipe Scolari's squad fell 7-1 to the Deutsche Adler. An unprecedented result that sunk Brazil's $14 billion dollars World Cup dreams.

It was a cruel first half here at Belo Horizonte. In the same field that is graced by the legendary Ronaldinho week-in and week-out, and who was a crucial part in Brazil being able to lift the trophy that turned them into the Pentacampeões, Germany destroyed the host nation in the first half of the World Cup semifinal, thanks to goals by Thomas Müller,

On minute 22, Miroslav Klose's 16th World Cup goal, that has turned the Lazio forward into a fixture of World Cup folklore by surpassing legendary Brazil player Ronaldo's previous record of 15 goals in 4 World Cups, would uncurl a series of plays that would end up with Germany scoring three times in three minutes, with Toni Kross writing his name on the score-sheet twice in just 69 seconds, the fastest brace in World Cup history.

In the 28th minute, Sami Khedira who assisted Kroos' previous goal would also push the ball pass Julio Cesar for a fifth poetic goal on the Pentacampeões.

Brazil had one shot on goal in the opening two minutes of game, when Marcelo intercepted a bad clearance by Matt Hummels and fired wide off the left post, after that just another embarrassing effort by the Brazilian defender who dived inside the penalty box, trying to sell a penalty to the Mexican referee. Marco Antonio Rodrigurz showed some leniency towards Marcelo as he withheld the cautionary card, probably because of the scolding Marcelo received fro Jerome Boateng who called out the Brazilian's dirty play.

The second half, Brazil came out determined to take the match back to their own side, but the difference on the scoreboard was just too much for the Seleção to handle, and it ended up breaking their backs as the defense allowed two other goals by Andre Schürrle.

Manuel Neuer stopped any Brazilian attempt on the spot like a complete giant. Two point blank shots from Fred and a cross that was violently executed by Oscar was not enough to beat the Bavarian keeper who as of now is being regarded as one of the best (if not the best) goalkeepers of the world.

Andre Schürrle's brace would come 10 minutes apart. The first one in the 68th minute from a cross from Lahm into the middle of the box for an easy push-in, and the second one on minute 78th, when he controled an air ball inside the box, lowered it, and shot pass Julio Cesar for the lucky seven.

Oscar got the consolation goal in the last minute of play when he got the ball past Neuer in an unpalatable goal with little significance.

Brazil will get an unsavory chance at redemption as they meet the loser between Argentina and Netherlands on July 12 at the Nacional Stadium of Brasilia, for the third place match.

The unstoppable German forcefulness will be put to the test one last time against either Lionel Messi's Argentina or Arjen Robben's Netherlands, on July 13, at the imposing Maracana stadium in Rio de Janeiro for the World Cup final.
