Governor Vega Gives Out Over 15,000 "De la Mano Contigo" Cards

The State Governor said it was an investment of 180,000,000 of pesos

TIJUANA.- On the 15,000 delivery of "De la Mano Contigo" card, State Governor Francisco "Kiko" Vega de Lamadrid, reinstated his administration commitment to create bigger development opportunities in order to elevate the wellbeing levels of families in Baja California, given that this is a way of contributing to the families economy by supplying them with different and important benefits.

Governor Vega revealed that last year 180,000,000 pesos ($12,000,000 dlls) were invested in the program and distribution of 118,000 cards that will help citizens in vulnerable situations, contributing in that matter to the reduction of extreme poverty in the state, an action that this year will be strengthen through this and other programs.

Through the "De la Mano Contigo" card, a diversity of support is given to citizens such as medical attention, insurance for funeral expenses, free long distance calls to the United States and Canada as well as the rest of the country, a network of savings regarding commerce and establishments, as well as specialized services in legal and psychological matter that push towards employment and travel assistance.

On his behalf, the State Secretary of Social Development (SEDESOE in Spanish) Rocardo Magaña Mosqueda, called out the population that already has this benefit to visit SEDESOE offices or modules in order to renovate their cards, deadline is until March 31st.
