Huge christmas tree in Liberty Station

A family-friendly event in San Diego to receive the month of christmas

There are two months left until Christmas arrives and the holiday season begins to take over the county. An example of this is that Liberty Station will carry out this November the “Tree Lighting & Holiday Festivities”.

The magic of Christmas will take place next Friday, November 29 at the North Promenade at Liberty Station, when the Christmas tree lights up and the festivities begin. Attendees can enjoy various free activities from 4 in the afternoon until 9 pm

A family of a patient from the Rady Children 's Hospital will be in charge of turning on the lights of the huge tree.

You can take a picture with your family next to the tree that is 88 feet tall, enjoy live entertainment, take holiday rides in fire trucks, take free photos with Santa Claus and even watch the movie of The Grinch.

You can bring a blanket and some snacks to watch the movie sitting on the grass accompanied by your loved ones.

If you want to try ice skating, nearby you can find the Rady Children’s Ice Rink, where adults and children can enter for $15 or $13 dollars. Ticket’s money will go to the Peckham Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Rady Children's Hospital.
