Marina del Pilar administration respects personality of Baja Californian students

The personality of each student shouldn’t block their access to education

Marina del Pilar, Governor of Baja California, has said that the personality of all students shouldn’t block their access to education, stating that in Baja California, schools should respect students’ free choices and shouldn’t be discriminated by teachers.

This was stated by Secretary of Education, Gerardo Solís Benavides, who said that with any incident that pretends to undermine these rights “the state government will always guarantee these rights, issuing measures and conducive penalties, because we won’t tolerate anyone who discriminates.”

“Schools are spaces that require the existence of groups of ideas that allow all students to learn that a more diverse and inclusive world is better to build social union through ideas, that our differences make us stronger. It promotes virtuous meetings with other people,” he added.

The Secretary of Education stated that from his position he will strengthen this inclusive vision.

“Every report regarding exclusion presented by students, mothers, or father will be timely and quickly dealt with, because discriminatory behavior hurts the education process and divides us as a society,” he said.

Solís Benavides emphasized that Baja California looks out for the healthy development of children and teenagers, always following the laws and protocols issued by the Constitution, as well as international treaties regarding this matter signed and ratified by Mexico. This policy will be a norm and standard that will continue to develop throughout the state administration.
