Traffic in Tijuana paralyzed due to rain

The severe storm that arrived in Tijuana has caused chaos in all of the city’s streets

Tijuana is currently the stage of a severe storm, which has caused terrible traffic, as well as floods, waterlogging, fallen posts, and other incidents in different areas of the city.

According to the app ‘Waze’, the busiest streets right now, with the greater traffic jams, are Vía Rápida Oriente, with a driving time of almost 20 minutes, which is similar to Blvd. Padre Kino, where a flood is causing a delay of 16 minutes.

At 13th Street at the intersection with Plutarco Elías Calles, driving time increases to 25 minutes, while in Benito Juárez it has gone beyond 26 minutes.

In addition, a great flood has been recorded at Periférico Libramiento Sur, Cañón de las Palmeras, and Colonia las Palmeras / Gran Tenochtitlan, which is why it is recommended to take precautions or avoid these streets.

Regarding Melchor Ocampo Avenue, a traffic light problem has caused waiting times of approximately 19 minutes. At Vía Lenta, an overflow is keeping traffic time at 15 minutes.

We recommend you to drive carefully and, if possible, to not leave your home.
