Media such as TIME magazine, Republicans, and Democrats agree that the vote from the Latino community will be vital to decide the outcome on the next elections in the United States.
Recently, civil associations made a call to all Latino migrants to apply for their American citizenships if they are in conditions to do it, and therefore, participate in the coming elections.
Close to 8 million Latinos could be part of the new voters sector and stop the creation of laws such HB56 from
Alabama, or SB1070 from Arizona, additionally, the current number of voters shows that 1 out of 10 voters will be a Latino.
Michael Scheer from Time magazine, showed relevant data about the force of the Latino vote after participating in a panel discussing this matter.
"Its estimated that within the Latino population in the United States, 20% supports the Republican party, and 55% is in favor of Democrats, another 25% has not decided", said Scheer.
In his article, he mentions that states like Texas, California and New York would not be a surprise since they are already considered as Democrats. Latinos living in Colorado, Arizona, and Nevada are the ones that would give more power to Obama, if they decide to vote for him.
In theory, Scheer emphasized that Mitt Rommey must search for more Latino followers and modify some aspects of his speech, such as referring to the state of Arizona as "an example to the nation". About Barack Obama´s campaign, he considers accurate that his team is focused in specific sectors of the population, and the support on data systems and other technological tools.
