This Friday: Creative Mornings in Tijuana

Math2Me will talk about its project and education

TIJUANA.- This month, the organizers of CreativeMornings/Tijuana have brought us a conversation about education. The December talk will take place at a local favorite, El Lugar del Nopal, in downtown Tijuana.

The talk will be imparted by Maria Gonzalez and Jose Andalon, founders of Math2Me, a website that was launched in 2009 in Tijuana that offers math classes via video on subjects ranging from algebra, geometry, analytic geography, trigonometry, series, and successions, calculus, statistics, and also aims to motivate the student via animation, fun facts, and articles about the use of math in the work place.

The project got started during a high school competition, and has now become a successful example of the Tijuana entrepreneurial spirit, as well as a need to design new ways to learn and teach.

Starting at 8:00 am on Friday, December 5th, you can go to Creative Mornings (after registering on their website CreativeMornings), to enjoy a few minutes of conversation with the creative class of Tijuana residents, with coffee and breakfast sponsored by

Blue Luna Café & Deli.
