Financial aid ends October 8 for San Diego residents

San Diego County reports that the date for accepting applications from those financially affected by COVID-19 is about to expire.

On October 4, 2020, San Diego County reports that San Diego residents who have been affected in their economy by COVID-19.

It is reported that this assistance is unique and can be as much as $3,000 to pay rent or past due rent.

The last date to submit your application for support is October 8, 2020.

After analyzing the issues for tenants and landlords, the San Diego County Department provided $24 million for an Emergency Rental Assistance program.

Interested persons can obtain information on the website. Applications entered or registered can review the process online at their convenience.

What are the terms that are considered for assistance?

- Households must be rented
- Difficulties should be encountered in relation to COVID-19
- Loss or reduction of expenses caused by COVID-19
- Increase in medical expenses caused by COVID-19

Applicants should not receive any other form of subsidy, such as Section 8 or non-profit agencies. And only one application per household is accepted.
