Customs and Border Protection focused on ports of entry on the southwest border and focused on non-essential travelers. In this regard, the primary task of CBP will be to facilitate legal trade and essential travel.

Ports of Entry: Douglas, Nogales and San Luis, Brownsville, Laredo, Hidalgo, Progreso, Eagle Pass, Del Rio, San Ysidro, Otay Mesa, Calexico West, El Paso, Ysleta; every day during peak hours there will be fewer lanes (cars and pedestrians) at these ports.

Secondary inspections will be implemented for non-essential travelers and if necessary, preventive material will be provided in accordance with the "Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Travelers' Health Notice, to ensure a better understanding of the restrictions.

Americans and legal permanent residents will not be denied entry, but it is strongly emphasized that they travel for essential purposes only.
