Marina del Pilar joins efforts with federal government to bring wellness to Baja Californians

In the government of Baja California, people with disabilities have the support of the three levels of government so that they can be provided with a dignified and inclusive life

Today, the governor of Baja California Marina del Pilar delivered 1,500 universal pension cards for the wellbeing of people with disabilities, which are part of the coordinated policy between the federal government and the state government which is looking to provide a dignified and inclusive life for all Mexican people.

It should be noted that these cards, issued by Banco del Bienestar (Wellness Bank), will be provided bimonthly with $2,800 pesos so that people with disabilities can purchase the things they need to live healthily.

In her speech to Baja Californian society, the governor stated that her state administration will not rest a single day until they ensure the wellbeing of everyone who has a vulnerable condition, such as people with disabilities and seniors, following the example of the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

“That is the inspiration of Fourth Transformation governments, where we know that power is only virtuous when it is used to help others, as our president says,” the state governor stated.

Marina del Pilar highlighted that thanks to a presidential proposal, social aid is now included in the Magna Carta of our country, which is why it is a resource that will be allocated and labeled in order to improve the life of people and make progress to make this a fairer and more equal nation.

“We are committed to support our president and help those who need it the most. You are not alone, we love you very much and we are going to keep working with our heart above all,” Marina del Pilar emphasized.

At this event the following people were present: the mayor of Mexicali, Norma Alicia Bustamante Martínez; the delegate of the government of Mexico in Baja California, Jesús Alejandro Ruiz Uribe; representative of the Congress of Baja California, Gloria Miramontes Plantillas; Secretary of Wellness of Baja California, Netzahualcóyotl Jáuregui Santillán, and this program’s beneficiaries.
