Mayor Montserrat Caballero attends inauguration of paved street at Delegación Sánchez Taboada

An investment of more than 1 ½ million pesos was made to pave this street in Sánchez Taboada

The mayor of Tijuana, Montserrat Caballero, congratulated the great teamwork that was developed between the community and the government, after an investment of more than 1 ½ million pesos was made to pave and inaugurate Ojos Negros Street at the Sánchez Taboada Delegation.

During the delivery of this paving project, the mayor, accompanied by the head of the Secretary of Territory, Urban, and Environmental Development (SDTUA), Enrique Bautista Corona, stated that she has always said that there can be no first and second class citizens.

Alongside the Secretary of the Interior, Miguel Ángel Bujanda Ruiz, the mayor claimed that the community’s effort is one of the main reasons that are boosting the 24th Municipal Administration to guide, project, and manage resources with concrete actions in the eastern zone and all neighborhoods that require it.

We recommend: Mayor Montserrat Caballero continues to work for the security of Tijuana

In Ojos Negros Street at Colonia Genaro Vázquez, which was constructed with federal resources from Ramo 33, 130.41 square meters of road, 221.64 meters of curbs, 38,975.26 square meters of slab, and 10 lineal meters of pavement were constructed.

Caballero Ramírez emphasized that as the mayor of Tijuana it is her obligation to address and listen to the demands of citizens, visit them, and show results such as with this paving project, where hundreds of neighbors who travel daily through an avenue that hasn’t been maintained in more than 25 years will be benefited.

It should be noted that between 2022 and 2023, around 60 million pesos have been invested with federal resources from Ramo 33 exclusively for projects with social impact at the Sánchez Taboada delegation. This is thanks to the good management by the Municipal Administration and which is why these resources were increased to 349 million pesos.
